Community guidelines
Acaso is for meeting people when you are new somewhere. These are the few rules that keep it good. They are part of the terms of use.
Be who you say you are
One account, your real first name, a photo of your face. The green tick means a selfie matched the photo. Pretending to be someone else, or to be more than one person, gets the account removed.
Show up
If you join an activity or save a seat at a table, come, or withdraw in time. A table is six people; an empty chair changes the evening for five others. Withdraw before Wednesday evening. Say so in the chat if you are running late.
Friends first
Acaso is for making friends in a new city; it is not a dating app. If two people hit it off, that is theirs. But nobody here signed up to be hit on: comments about anyone's looks, pushing after a no, and messages that read like a dating app do not belong in chats or at plans. If someone tells you they are not interested, that is the end of it.
Be kind to strangers
Everyone at your table was new here once. No harassment, no slurs, no jokes at someone's expense, no pressure to drink, no politics or religion used as a weapon. Disagree gently or change the subject.
Nothing for sale
No selling, promoting, recruiting, fundraising or job-hunting in profiles, activities or chats. Post an activity because you want to do it, not because you want customers.
Privacy is everyone's
Do not share other people's numbers, photos, addresses or messages outside Acaso. Ask before you post a photo of the table.
Report, block, leave
Report anyone from their profile; a person reads every report and the person reported is never told who reported them. Block to never see each other again. Leave any chat, activity or table whenever you want. If you are in danger, call the emergency services first.
Three reports in one week hide a profile automatically for thirty days. Serious or repeated behaviour ends an account.
