A Acaso

Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between Mohammad Danial Barkhordar (Danial), who runs the Acaso app and website as an individual ("Acaso", "we", "us"), and you, the person using them. By creating an account or using Acaso you agree to them, to the Privacy Policy at https://acaso.place/privacy and to the Community Guidelines at https://acaso.place/guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use Acaso. Version 1.0, last updated 16 September 2026. Earlier versions are available on request.

1. What Acaso is

Acaso helps people who are new to a city meet other people in person: a map of who is nearby, plans anyone can post and join, group chats, trips, and introductions. We provide the introduction; you decide whom to meet, where, and what happens next. Acaso is not a dating service, a booking service, an event organiser or a travel agent, and we are not a party to any plan, meeting or arrangement between users.

When a city is quiet, Acaso itself suggests a few plans in public places such as parks, markets and cafés, under the name "Acaso". These are suggestions of a place and a time, nothing more: nobody from Acaso is there, and section 5 applies to them as to any other plan.

2. Who can use Acaso

3. Your content

4. How you agree to behave

The Community Guidelines at https://acaso.place/guidelines are part of these terms. We have zero tolerance for abuse and for objectionable content. In particular, you agree not to:

How we keep this, partly by code and partly by a person:

5. Meeting people in person

Acaso is about meeting strangers. Please read this section carefully.

6. Plans, venues and money

Plans are posted by users, or suggested by Acaso as described in section 1. Cafés, bars, restaurants and other venues are independent businesses; anything you order there you pay to them, and we take nothing from it. We do not make reservations on your behalf unless a feature says so. A no-show affects the other people who came, so leave a plan in the app if you cannot make it.

7. Paid features

Acaso is free to use. We may offer optional paid features as auto-renewing subscriptions or one-off purchases bought through the App Store or Google Play. The price and the renewal period are shown before you buy. A subscription renews unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; cancelling keeps the paid features until the period ends.

If you live in the UK or the EU you have the right to cancel a purchase within 14 days of making it. Because the paid features start at once, you agree when you buy that we begin providing them immediately and that a refund is handled by Apple or Google under their rules, which apply the 14-day right for you. To ask for one, use "Report a Problem" on the purchase in your Apple Account, or the refund request in Google Play. We cannot issue refunds ourselves for purchases made through the stores.

Cancelling a subscription does not delete your account. Closing your account does not cancel a subscription; do that in the store's settings too, or it will keep renewing.

8. Our rights in Acaso

Acaso, its name, design, code and content that we created belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, limited, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose while you follow these terms. Nothing else is granted, and the licence ends if you break these terms.

If you believe content on Acaso infringes your copyright or another right of yours, write to us at the address in section 18 with what the content is, where it is, why it infringes your rights, and how to reach you. We remove content we find to be infringing and close the accounts of people who do it more than once.

9. Privacy and your data

The Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why and for how long, and how to reach us. Under UK and EU data protection law you may ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. You can delete your account and everything in it from Settings at any time.

10. Ending the agreement

11. No guarantees

Acaso is provided as it is and as available. We work to keep it running, accurate and secure, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors, that any content is accurate, that any user is who they say they are, that anyone will come to a plan, or that you will meet anyone in particular. We may change, pause or stop any part of Acaso at any time.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

13. Your responsibility to us

You agree to compensate us for any claim, loss, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) that arises from your content, your conduct, your use of Acaso, or your breach of these terms or of the law.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live. If something goes wrong, write to us first at the address in section 18 and we will try to sort it out. We do not take part in alternative dispute resolution schemes.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and the app will show the new version the next time you open it. Continuing to use Acaso after that means you accept the change. The latest version, with its number and date, is always at https://acaso.place/terms.

16. Notifications

Acaso sends push notifications about messages, plans, tables and people who involve you, and occasionally an email about your account. You choose whether to allow pushes when the app first asks, and you can turn any kind of push off in Settings, or all of them in your phone's settings, at any time.

17. Other things

If part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce something once, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer this agreement or your account to anyone else; we may transfer it to someone who takes over Acaso, and we will tell you if we do. These terms, the Privacy Policy and the Community Guidelines are the whole agreement between us about Acaso.
